Let’s hear it for FTA! It’s time to celebrate: for the 20th edition of FTA, we’re holding a weekend of free fun for all on the Esplanade Tranquille—come dance, party, move, wander the market, and dream under the stars! Activities of the week-end 🌟May 29, 7 p.m. - ¡ A Festejar ! To kick off the festivities, Rhythm & Hues and his guest hailing from Medellín DJ DMOE will get the party going with some sizzling Latin American sounds. The evening will begin with workshops by the Danza Descalza collective. 🌟May 30, 1 p.m. - Decolonial Ecology Day Between community gardening, mangrove stories, and mycelium dances, artists and thinkers from Turtle Island and Abya Yala will share knowledge that everyone can use and models of connection that are invaluable for gaining fresh perspectives and strengthening our communities. 🌟May 30 + 31, 1 p.m. - 6 p.m. - Esplanade Market You can browse all day long at this neighbourhood market featuring arts and crafts, books, fresh food, and more. Free silkscreening stand. Bring your favourite T-shirt, bag, or scarf. 🌟May 31, 1 p.m. - Amour de jour An outdoor celebration in good company, with feel-good DJ sets and soul line dances for the whole family. Based on an original idea by your hosts for the day, DJs Sovann and FIDDYSHADESOFBLACK. 🌟May 30 + 31, 8 p.m. - Cinédanse under the Stars As night falls, short dance films by artists from Canada and the Caribbean create extraordinary and profound dialogues between bodies, spaces, and the city at night. In the event of rain, all activities will take place at our Headquarters.
