MUTEK Montréal | 2026 Edition

Founded in 2000, MUTEK is dedicated to presenting live electronic music and real-time audiovisual performance, making it one of the few showcases in North America for such innovations. After 20 years, the festival's pioneering mission has matured, and its commitment to the perpetual evolution and variations of contemporary digital creativity remains, with its eyes and ears always focused on the future.

The festival now spans six days and nights and integrates the professional Forum component into the week's structure to foster conversations and encounters around current technological practices and reflections. Connected to a global network since its inception, creating an international meeting place for both artists and audiences, the festival strives to develop an environment conducive to discovery and exchange. True to its values of inclusion and accessibility, MUTEK is committed to a more equitable and representative program that reflects all forms of diversity, notably through the Amplify initiative.

It also celebrates Montreal, not only as an urban context but also for its creative spirit; local talent constantly interacting with exceptional artists from around the world.

Over the years, MUTEK has built a unique model that has proven spectacularly exportable. Its reach now extends across four continents, to six other cities; each branch drawing on the festival's value chain to further enrich the electronic and digital arts scene.
