ESC is an independent venue and creative hub at the heart of Montréal’s underground nightlife landscape, and an extension of Ctrllab. Founded in 2023 and located on Saint-Laurent Boulevard in the Quartier des Spectacles, the space blends raw warehouse energy with an intimate dancefloor atmosphere, becoming known for late-night electronic music events, community-driven programming, art installations, and immersive music-first experiences rooted in the city’s DIY spirit.

Over the years, ESC has grown into a gathering point for dancers, artists, promoters, and creatives seeking a more community-oriented alternative to conventional nightlife spaces. Its programming moves fluidly between house, techno, experimental live performances, cultural events, and collaborative underground series, with a focus on fostering connection, artistic freedom, and forward-thinking nightlife culture.

Recognized as one of Montréal’s “nightlife vitality” venues through the City’s Nuits Montréal initiative, ESC plays an active role in supporting a vibrant, culturally driven, and responsibly operated after-hours ecosystem.
